Welcome to Sri Lanka. Upon arrival at Colombo CMB Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your tour representative and transferred to your hotel in Negombo (pickup also available from Colombo or Negombo hotels).

After breakfast, proceed to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most remarkable historical capitals. Once ruled by ancient kings, the city showcases impressive ruins, royal palaces, temples, and advanced irrigation systems that supported early civilization and agriculture, earning Sri Lanka the name “the Granary of the East.” You may explore the site by bicycle, experiencing its archaeological beauty at a relaxed pace.

In the afternoon, enjoy a 4×4 jeep safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park, one of the best places in Asia to witness large herds of wild elephants in their natural habitat. Ella is in a fantastic, eco-friendly location and is hence everyone’s favorite hill country village. The Nine Arch Bridge, a popular tourist attraction in Ella, was constructed entirely out of solid rocks, bricks, and cement, without the use of any steel at all. Ella is a fantastic location for hiking and trekking, and its most well-known journey is up “Little Adam’s Peak.” You may chill in the village center at night, where there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and entertainment. Ella is a breathtaking location that anyone who is visiting Sri Lanka should not miss out on.

Afterward continue your journey toward Yala national park, the biggest and most diversified national park in southeast Sri Lanka.

Start the day with an early morning whale watching excursion from Mirissa, where you head into the Indian Ocean in search of blue whales, dolphins, and other marine life. Mirissa is considered one of the best locations in the world for whale watching. (Please note: whale watching is a seasonal activity.)

After the excursion, continue your journey along the southern coastline to Galle, a historic city famous for its UNESCO-listed Dutch Fort.
