ELEPHANT FOUNDATION | VILLAGE TOUR
Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), you will be greeted by your tour guide and begin a scenic journey through Sri Lanka’s breathtaking countryside to Dambulla, the heart of the island’s Cultural Triangle. Along the way, you will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, established to protect and care for orphaned and injured wild elephants found roaming Sri Lanka’s forest regions. A highlight of the visit is watching the elephants gather at the river for their daily bath—an unforgettable experience.
Afterwards, you will take part in an immersive cultural village experience set amid the tranquil countryside. The tour begins with a Tuk-Tuk ride to a local farmer’s home, where you will be welcomed with traditional Sri Lankan rural hospitality. This is followed by a peaceful canoe ride across the lake, offering picturesque views of the Sigiriya landscape. The experience concludes with a traditional bullock cart ride through the lush, green village surroundings.
