AIRPORT PICK-UP / PINNAWALA / KANDY

On arrival at Katunayake International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Scenic Ceylon Tours and transferred to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Established to care for displaced and injured wild elephants, Pinnawala is home to the largest group of captive elephants in the world, offering visitors the chance to observe feeding sessions and watch the elephants bathe in the nearby river.

Afterwards, continue your journey to Kandy, the former capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. Located on a scenic plateau and surrounded by mountains, the city is renowned for its tea plantations, rich biodiversity, and important Buddhist landmarks, most notably the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Afterwards, travel to Bentota, a stunning coastal destination where golden sandy beaches and tranquil surroundings create the perfect tropical escape, ideal for relaxation and enjoying the sunshine.

In the afternoon, those interested may visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, a conservation center dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles. Supported by both local and international volunteers, the project plays a vital role in safeguarding turtle species while preserving the area’s traditional fishing heritage and cinnamon cultivation.

COLOMBO CITY TOUR / AIRPORT OR HOTEL DROP-OFF

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo, the vibrant capital of Sri Lanka, whose history dates back to the fifth century as a key port along ancient East–West trade routes. Today, Colombo is a lively modern city, blending colonial heritage with contemporary life, where colorful streets, diverse restaurants, and stylish shopping malls draw both locals and visitors.

During your city tour, you will explore Colombo’s major highlights and have time for last-minute shopping. You may also choose to dine at one of the city’s well-known international restaurants before being transferred to the airport in time for your departure flight.
